The Northern Film Festival is a five-day film festival in Leeuwarden that takes place every November. In the fall, 220 people work at the Northern Film Festival, including 200 volunteers. Every year the festival sells around 22,000 tickets. Stadsschouwburg De Harmonie is the bustling festival heart, in addition Slieker Film, Pathé Leeuwarden and Post-Plaza are also festival venues.
